Yann Follain founded WY-TO Singapore in 2010 and is the Managing Director and Head of Design. He formally established WY-TO Group in 2021 to bring together similar-minded partners from Europe and Asia.
Guided by the Group’s philosophy “Design with A Cause”, Yann leads a team of conscious designers specialising in Urban Research and Design, Architectural, Experiential Exhibitions and Visual Communications, in innovating and pioneering human-centric strategies.
Embedded in his design-led techniques, WY-TO Group’s full-service built programming and design endeavours advocates for an inclusive, progressive and resilient future. It is with this that he launched the Group’s Green Commitments, a blueprint that promotes for systemic methodologies for built prosperity.
Dedicated to the cause, Yann’s expertise in developing contextual frameworks for his projects that are iterative with strong regenerative and community elements have been recognised on platforms such as URA Architectural Heritage Awards, President*s Design Award (shortlist), INDE. Awards (shortlist) and Red Dot Award. Beyond the studio, Yann frequently speaks regionally on embodying integrated design approaches and cultural curation, and as a Guest Reviewer for local universities.
Yann currently serves as one of the curators of LTA’s Art-in-Transit for the new Jurong Railway Line and Singapore Chapter Co-chair of the Society for Experiential Graphic Designs. He actively participates in the Singapore Institute of Architects and International Council of Museums (ICOM) as an Associate Member and Member, respectively.
Yann received his Master of Architecture degree from one of France’s leading institutions, the National Architecture School of Higher Education of Paris-Belleville in 2005.
