Djoko is the President of Singapore Institute of Planners, 2022 – 2024. He has 30 years of experience in urban planning and urban design consultancy, and is currently the Director of DP Urban (DPU), Singapore based urban planning firm.
In his 30 years career in planning consultancy, he advised both public and private sector clients across Asia, Middle East and Africa, completed and implemented a number of large-scale city and regional planning projects, and numerous planning and urban design projects at various scale and complexity.
Djoko won numerous SIP Planning Awards, including Planning Award (gold) 2013 for Kigali CBD & Nyarugenge District Master Plan, Urban Design Award (Gold) 2015 for Al Khor Master Plan, Qatar, Planning award (Gold) 2015 for Kigali City Master Plan, Rwanda and Planning Award (gold) 2017 for NSEZ Master Plan, Ghana. In 2021, he has also won planning award from VUPA (Vietnam Urban Planning Association) for the Dak R’tih Master Plan project in Vietnam. In 2017, he was appointed to be member the Advisory Committee for Kigali city in Rwanda, following his years of works for the city of Kigali.
