Lin Wei

Lin Wei is the founder of United Design Practice, a multi-disciplinary design studio which has won 37 international awards across different design fields from branding, advertising, graphics, interior, exhibition, architecture, to lighting and animation design. Awards include A’ Design, AAP American Architecture Prize, Graphis Design Annual, IDA International Design Award, LIT Lighting Design, Vega Digital, and in 2017 was named ID+G Top 10 Most Influential Designer. Singapore born and bred, he has based himself in China for the past 18 years and counting. The past years he has devoted himself to helping Chinese small medium enterprises (SMEs) navigate the journey from OEM, ODM, Brand Owner, to branded export powerhouse, amidst a fast changing landscape of tech, social and consumption pattern disruption. With a passion for helping fellow design talents, he has organised Behance portfolio reviews, mentored in creative accelerator programs, consulted with Design Singapore, juried at Design Shanghai, and spoke at various design and trade events. He continues to be a fervent advocate of responsible design. From material consumption to experiential, emotional consumption. Providing solutions to offset climate impact and carbon footprint.
