A Brush With Forest Fire

Client: National Gallery Singapore, Keppel Centre of Art Education

Category: Experience Design

Project country: Singapore

National Gallery Singapore tackled the challenge of engaging children with historical art, particularly Raden Saleh’s Boschbrand. Their solution, “A Brush With Fire,” combines physical and digital elements, with Raden Saleh acting as a mentor. Children use a magical paintbrush to interact with the artwork, learning about art principles and creating their masterpieces. This physical experience bridges the gap between urban Singaporean children and 19th-century painting, fostering creativity and connection.
