Dementia-friendly Wayfinding Project

“Dementia is random, relentless, and frighteningly common” – and neighbourhoods have to be designed to incorporate a system to help those afflicted with it. The wayfinding solution was designed with the needs of senior citizens and dementia patients in mind, empowering them to navigate the neighbourhood safely and independently with the strategic positioning of easily-identifiable graphics and visual cues, as well as accessible signage systems.
