Gardens by the Bay

Compromising three waterfront gardens spread across 101 ha at Marina Bay, Gardens by the Bay (GB) is Singapore’s national garden in the city’s heart. The first phase of its development focused on Bay South Gardens (54 ha) which will shape the distinctiveness of Singapore’s Downtown. It is the first-of-its-kind tropical garden that unifies botany and horticulture, architecture, landscape design and engineering.

It is uniquely Singapore, reflecting our natural and cultural histories through plants. Integral to its design are the principles of environmental sustainablility, especially sustainable use of energy and water, and habitat creation for biodiversity
