Pingtung Public Library

Pingtung Public Library has been rejuvenated to feature a new and transparent lobby attached to the city side of the existing building. This lobby reconnects the library to the city, allowing the surrounding landscape to revitalise it. Inside the building, monumental concrete stairs and compact shelves have been removed and replaced with natural materials, modern furniture, and glass partitions to bring a sense of intimacy to those visiting the library.
